  1. I've done it last year from Rome to Venice. It's really easy, cheap and fast. It takes about 5 to 6 hours.

  2. Pretty dang easy. Go to www.trenitalia.it, then click on the English tab at the top. You can check train schedules and prices. Its about 4 hours to get to Florence and about 7 to Rome. If you are flying into Venice (Marco Polo) you need to take the bus right outside the train station to "Mestre" train station. That is the "venice" train station (there is actually a station on the actual island of venice, mestre is the city on the mainland). The bus goes all the time, every hour I think. Thats it, its pretty easy, good luck. (look into overnight trains as well, I took one to Rome and it was like 60 euro, but I didn't have to pay for a place to sleep).

  3. I did this 5 years ago, it was very easy cheap and comfortable.

    Better than on UK trains.
