Trainer Charlie Lister Enjoys double victory in East Anglian Derby Trial Stakes
Two greyhounds trained by Charlie Lister emerged victorious in Div A and B of the East Anglian Derby Trail Stakes on Wednesday, 24th August.
Greyhound Jordansoilutions won the Div A race of the East Anglian Derby Trial Stakes.
He finished the race in 27.75 seconds, beating the runner-up, Trevi You Go, by a margin of three and a half lengths.
Trevi You Go has been trained by Paul Simmonds. Paul Simmonds is famous for his outstanding training techniques in the industry but it seems that the greyhound's trainer slipped a notch with this greyhound.
Mottos Banker, another greyhound trained by Charlie Lister, emerged victorious in the Div B race of East Anglian Derby Trial Stakes.
He crossed the finish line in minimal time of 27.72 seconds, defeating the runner-up BestoftheHawks, by a margin of two and a quarter of a length.
Holycross Prince, trained by John Mullins, was the first to cross the finish line in the Div C race.
He sprinted across the 462 m track of this open race in 27.61 seconds.
Holycross had the lead of the race from the start as he was the most fast-paced among all the contenders of the race so it was easy for Holycross Prince to beat the runner-up, Jackdaw Summer, by a margin of four lengths.
In Div D race of the East Anglian Derby Trial Stakes, greyhound, Ballybunion Ace, emerged victorious.
Trained by David Pruhs, this greyhound finished the race in 28.03 seconds. He defeated the runner-up, Offshore Rebel, by a margin of three and a half lengths and twenty six points.
Here again the runner-up had been trained by Paul Simmonds.
A little bit of hard work invested in both the greyhounds namely, Trevi You Go and Offshore Rebel, might ring twin victory for this trainer in the semifinals.
It was trainer Charlie Lister’s moment of glory on Wednesday night. The trainer must be accredited for the spectacular job he has done with both his greyhounds.
The results of the East Anglian Derby Trial Stakes have built up everybody’s expectations of both the Charlie Lister’s greyhound’s performance in the final.
