Trainer Claude McGaughey holds promising entries in the Arlington Handicap and Man O’ War Stakes
With so many graded races taking place on 14th July, 2012, it has been difficult to determine which one has the best line-up and, which is more exciting but, Arlington Park hosts Arlington Handicap, which looks interesting.

The event that is really creating a buzz is the Man O’ War Stakes at Belmont Park, held on the same day.
Trainer Claude R. McGaughey is trying to saddle the winners in both these events, and he has entered, Boisterous, into the Grade 3 Arlington Handicap, which runs over 1 1/4 miles on turf and, Point Of Entry into the prestigious event at Belmont.
Owned by the Phipps Stable, Boisterous is looking to destroy the competition and, take the money home. The hype around him is not groundless, since he has managed to prove himself time and time again.
The five-year-old stood third in the Grade 1 Manhattan Handicap at Belmont Park over 1 ¼ miles on 9th June, 2012.

Prior to that, he claimed a magnificent victory in the Grade 3 Fort Marcy Stakes, where he completed the 1 1/16 mile track in 1 minute and 44.89 seconds on 5th May, 2012.
Belmont Park is hosting the biggest race of them, the Grade 1 Man O’ War Stakes, that holds a purse of $600,000 and here it will be a battle between the best of Britain and the best of American horses.
Of course, Point Of Entry has what it takes to beat the competition including the Aidan O’Brien trained, Treasure Beach, since he is currently on a hat-trick and emerged successful from the Grade 2 Elkhorn Stakes at Keeneland in April, 2012 over 1
½ miles, so he has no trouble taking on large distances.
Treasure Beach will be taking a shot at the money and, will have to battle it out with the rest of the competition.

Both the runners have what it takes but Treasure Beach’s record is impressive and beating him might prove to be quite the challenge.
With five victories in fourteen starts, the son of Galileo, out of mare Honorine has proved himself to be a star on North-American racecourses.
The four-year-old’s victories include the Grade 1 Secretariat Stakes at Arlington Park in August, 2011, where he raced as a favourite and, maintained that status well when he finished a neck before, Cheers Joy.
