On the 25th of October 2011, the meeting of Nottingham scheduled the Caffreys Standard Trophy – Heats. The event organized two shows which were won by trainer G Oswald’s hounds, who presented an eye catching performance by covering the total distance
of 500 meters.
The quest entailing the purse of £125 opened the trap doors for the first show, the Caffreys Standard Trophy – Heat 1. Judicial Academy who was sent in as the favourite for trainer G Oswald, was the impressive winner of the first chase.
The white and blue dog, wearing white and black jacket commenced through trap 3, for trainer G Oswald. With the odds of 5 – 4 F Judicial Academy surprised everyone due to his amazing early pace, which later on turned out to be quite beneficial for him.
The three-year-old dog’s surging, dashing speed helped him in attaining the pointer spot. He was spotted at the head start station throughout the chase.
In the estimated time of 30.38 seconds, G Oswald was given reason to celebrate, when Judicial Academy inspiringly hit the wire at first place.
Following him by 2 ½ lengths was, trainer C Lister’s unfortunate hound Jordan Light, who managed to wrap up his chase at second place.
The reason behind Jordan Light’s defeat was his lethargic pace, due to which he experienced clear run throughout the chase. In 30.58 seconds Charlie Lister’s black dog concluded his chase.
Right after the first show the track was cleared out for the second Heat.
Trainer G Oswald was still in the glee of his previous victory, but his black dog Droopys Rory’s stunning chase presented a startling hit to contribute in the winnings. The two-year-old with the odds of 4 – 1, was not placed in with ideal odds but his hidden
talent definitely proved him as a real go getter.
Wearing red and white jacket, Droopys Rory began his miraculous chase from trap 1. The promptness in his speed assisted him in acquiring the leading position during the third bend.
Later on while sustaining the desirable spot, trainer G Oswald’s Droopys Rory covered the required distance in total 30.41 seconds.
Besides the victorious hound who unveiled his hidden talent, Pats Legacy a black dog inauspiciously was over thrown by 2 ¾ lengths. His slow start was the main drawback, due to which he lost the chance to win the prize money.
Trainer G Oswald was unquestionably given a chance to sing the songs of praise for Droopys Rory and Judicial Academy, who fanatically won the Caffreys Standard Trophy - Heats
