Trainer Gemma Davidson’s Greyhound Plane Daddy Surpasses All Contenders in Heats of Grand National
Plane Daddy’s performance in the heats of Grand National at Wimbledon on Saturday was an open announcement that he is heading for the Grand National with full zeal.
Plane Daddy was the quickest winner among all the six winners in the six heats of Round 1 of the Grand National on Saturday at Wimbledon.
Plane Daddy competed in the second heat of the first round, crossing the wire in 29.50 seconds and beating Farloe Skywalker by five lengths.
Farloe Skywalker, trained by M. Dartnall, was the second greyhound to finish the race in 29.10 seconds.
In heat1, trainer J. Foster’s Billis Renegade was the first to cross the wire in 29.54 seconds.
Billis Renegade was followed by Swift Defender, who qualified for the second position in 28.79 seconds.
Swift Defender was three lengths short of Billis Renegade when he crossed the wire.
Greyhound Blackhall Prince was the winner of heat three in 29.26 seconds.
Blackhall Prince has been trained by C. Kyme and was followed by Baltylum Houdini, who qualified for the second position.
Baltylum Houdini was two and three quarters of a length short of Blackhall Prince when he crossed the wire. He finished the race in 29.68 seconds.
Trainer D. Boyles greyhound Opening Joe was the first to cross the wire in the fourth heat.
He completed the race in 30.10 seconds followed by Clonkeen Theo who finished the race in the same time as Opening Joe but their speed differed by a difference of eight points which placed him in the second position. Clonkeen Theo has been trained by J. Foster.
In heat 5, Jamaican man was the winner. Jamaican man is another one of trainer J. Foster’s greyhounds, he finished the race in 29.99 seconds followed by Forest Rico who was one and three quarters of a length short of Jamaican Man.
In the last heat of round one, Glenashe Rock qualified for the first position. He completed the race in thirty seconds followed by Muclair Robbie. Muclair Robbie was the second contender to cross the wire. He was two lengths and sixteen points short of Glenashe Rock.
Interestingly Glenashe Rock was another greyhound that J. Foster has trained. Although Plane daddy sparkled like a jewel in overall heats . it was a good day for trainer J. Foster. Grand national Final would be a thrilling race. Both Plane daddy and trainer J. Foster must be looking forward to it.
