  1. get a litter box and fill it with dirt outside.he will go in it and learn how to use it because he'll think hes outside.eventually you can add litter

  2. What I've always done is put them in the box and then gently move their little feet lke they are digging in the litter. They get the idea quickly. You do have to do it more than once, but your kitten should figure it out quickly.

  3. Can I give you a hint? Use soil.

Our kitten has NEVER pooed or weed anywhere but the litter box. It's because we used soil in the box.

Don't bother with the litter, it's a waste of time, not to mention expensive.

  4. this is easy i had many Kitty's thew the years , first you take the litter box into the bathroom with the kitty leave her in the bathroom its a small space and within 3 days or less she will be litter trained ! i guarantee it ! ps you have to keep bathroom door closed

  5. he will eventually get it. Just once in a while pick him up and put him in there.

  6. Actually the kitten is already litter trained...Nature has it's brain programmed to dig where ever there is loose stuff.  Just put the kitten in the kitty litter and let it do its thing...it will start digging and doing its thing with out any coaxing from you...of course timing is important here...just have the litter handy for kitty for the first few days and kitty will catch on....oh if only human babies were so easy to train.

  7. Just put the cat in the litter box, and let him play around in it.

He will eventually learn what its use is for lol.

  8. Don't you worry at all. Kittens comes pre-programmed with the know how on using the litter box. All you have to do is show it to them, encourage them to use it and praise them when they did a good job.

To begin, make sure you purchase a litterbox that is suitable for your small kittens. Make sure the sides are low enough so they can easily climb in and out of the box.

I know kittens are active and they run around loose. So, if possible, during litter trainning time, try to confine them to only a few areas of the house. This way, you will be able to properly locate your litterbox and teach the kittens how to use them.

Place them in the litterbox after each mealtime, playtime, naptime. You have to be very consistent. Place them into the box and gently guide their litter paws to scratch the litter. Depending on the kittens, their reaction could be totally different. Some will run away as fast as he could, some will sit and play, flicking litter everywhere, some will even lay down and take a nap! Don't worry about that, those are all very normal. Sooner or later, they will get the idea.

Also, you need to be their pee/p**p patrol guard. :) Be on the look out. Whenever you see the signs of going to pee/p**p, act immediately. Take the kitten away from whichever spot he's at and place him into his litter box. It can really get messy at times but during their trainning period, you have to get down and dirty with them.

You have to clean up urine spot as soon as the area is soiled. Kittens may use the spot again if they can smell it. You can use a variety of cleaners for this job and my favorite is Nature's Miracle. You can get this easily in any pet store.

Actually, this may seem long but it's nothing much to it. Once you show them the litter box location and let them explore it, they will gradually learn to use it. So, good luck to you and thanks for taking care of the kittens!

  9. This baby is a little young to train to the box.  Usually at this age the mom is still cleaning up after it.

However, that said.......try setting up a small box that she can go in and out of and set her in it.  If you are lucky instinct will take over and she will use it. If not try again and again every day until she recognizes it and goes to it. Dont' make her afraid of it by fussing at her. She WILL do it in her own time. That is the thing with babies
