  1. bark bark, ruff, ruff.

i don't think they are words, other than the ones you listed. when you want him to sit you stick out your finger and pat his back so he can tell what your telling him by body language. there are these training books i saw at petsmart, and they have different techniques for training each different types of dogs. spend a little money on one, it's easier.

  2. U better consult a german dictionary.

  3. lol first off its German Shepherd, and its a more pratical to teach them in english, not in german

  4. u just need 2 be firm.... SIT.......... STAY............HEAL.........LAY DOWN...........NO!............like those.

  5. i agree with Princess-4-Fun...

;-)   it's very hard to train in a language that

    U neither speak,  nor understand!

dogs do it every day - but it is very difficult.  (shrug)

    i would suggest hand-signals  -

they are clear, dogs learn them very quickly, in abt one-third the time that verbal-cues require, U can be on the phone + cue the dog to sit, down, come, etc.

    i would strongly-suggest that U skip No -

it's a general concept and difficult for the dog to grasp, and besides, TEACHING what U do want is much more efficient than condemning what U do not want...   how many behaviors do U want?

how many  **more**  do U not-want?

    save $$, time + space -  teached desired-behaviors

    --------------------------------------...

interrupt + re-direct unwanted behaviors.  dog is happier + less-stressed, U are happier cuz dog learns better behavior, even faster.

    verbal cues auf Deutsch

    =========================

    sit -  Setz

    stay  - Bleib

    hEEL (not Heal!) - Fuss

    come   - Hier

    down  - Platz

  6. you do not have to train in German. train in a language you understand so you don't get confused and then confuse your dog.

I know you think it would be cool. but its very hard to train in a language you don't speak/understand.

  7. that's cool that you are training your german in german, sorry but i don't know german

  8. Sit- Sitz

    Stay- Bleib

    Heel- Fuß

    Down- Platz

    No- Nein

All of my German Shepherd Dogs have been trained in both German and English. They also know hand signals.

    Might I also suggest:

    Come- Hier

    Give (let loose)- Aus

  9. stand

    run

    p**p

    dance

    yes

i think you the german shepard

  10. I have owned TWO German Shepherds.  And I assume that is the breed you are referring to.  (Yes, it's spelled SHEPHERD and not how you spelled it.)

You don't have to train a German Shepherd using German words.  You could train any dog using any language actually.  You could train a dog using only words you make up.  As long as you are firm (not in a mean way) and consistant, training a dog is very simple.

  11. sit-sitz

    lay down- platz (pronounced plotz)

    don't know stay

    heel-fusse

    no-fooey

    come-here stretch the r

    bring-bring it stretch the ing
