Buoyant after defeating Pakistan 2-1 in the three-ODI series in oppressive UAE conditions, the Australian skipper Michael Clarke has credited the series win to the pre-tour preparatory camp in Darwin.
“We worked really hard before coming on this series. We were up in Darwin as a team and worked hard against spin bowling,” said the 31-year-old middle-order batsman while speaking to media reporters after three-wicket win over Pakistan, at Sharjah, on Monday
night.
"I think we found conditions again so different to what we tried to prepare for up in Darwin, especially with the heat - I've never played in heat like this and humidity like this,” he added further.
Michael Clarke-led Australian contingent secured the three-match One Day International series with a three-wicket win over Pakistan in Sharjah, on Monday night, September 3-4, 2012.
While chasing the 245-run target set by the Mohammad Hafeez-led Pakistan batting line-up, the Australian batsmen stood up against the sweltering heat and humidity of Sharjah, reaching the victory line in 47 overs, with three wickets to spare.

"What the most pleasing thing is - the whole series was won by the whole team, it wasn't one individual player that won us this series,” said http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120. "It was a tough victory against a very good one-day team in Pakistan,” he admitted.
Clarke also hailed left-arm seamer, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mitchell-Aaron-Starc-c76392, who was adjudged as the player of the series for his startling match-winning performances in both the ODIs at Sharjah.
