Question:

Training cats to 'speak' ?

by  |  earlier

I am convinced that cats can talk and communicate using human language (with certain limitations in using some sounds, of course). In fact, my cats can say 'hug' and 'ya' etc. at the right time to communicate to me exactly that. Someone I know has cats that can say 'milk' when he wants some.

What are your experiences?

What other words would you suggests?

How long did it take for you to train yours to speak?

Would you like to know how to do this?

  2. you can't train cats to do anything.

cats don't have owners, they have staff

  3. my cats say milk and mouse

you can train them if you say the word over and over while holding the item (the cat has to be looking at you)

  4. I suggest Mama.  I saw a vid of a cat saying mama and it inspired me to try to teach Sophie.

I haven't quite managed it although there are times when it sounds very close.

What I did manage to teach her (and her sister) is that "mama" means TREAT!  LOL

  5. First of all cats don't have a "language" per se. Everything is based on body language and tones or did you mean a

parrot  because i had cats since i was little and none of them have talk
