  1. don't lift weights anymore. boxers don't power lift and boxers at your age don't lift at all. you need to do exercises that don't include weights. pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, air squats, box jumps, jump rope, run (long distance and sprints), swim (is great for entire body work-out), knees to elbows (hang from pull-up bar and bring your knees to your elbows), flutter kicks, body rows (if you are at a jungle gym go to the moneky bars, pull yourself up then put you legs into a bar so your hanging from under your knees then pull your self up with your arms, you can also do sit-ups like this)

remember it is important to give your body a rest day or 2 if you need it.

  2. At 14 your bones are still growing and lifting weights can cause harm, not just stunting growth but deforming bones.

When lifting weights you should never work the same muscles on two consecutive days. If working out all week it should be split, maybe arms one day, legs the next and the core on the third day, then repeating. If you insist on trying to build muscle do body weight exercises, sit ups push ups etc.

Once you have stopped growing You will be able to decide what weight division you will be aiming for.

Until then concentrate on fitness, lots of running and skipping, and technique.

  3. Forget the weights (they could stunt your growth at your age).

Go out right now, and find a good local boxing gym, where you can get proper boxing training.

They'll tell you to run every day, teach you to skip, and get you doing bag work, technique and sparring 3 or 4 times a week.

Don't eat junk, eat plenty of carbs and protien.

  4. look at "core work" and "core muscles" closely man.  Do some research into this aspect of your training via the web and any other materials you can read on the subject.

Keep the weight heavy and keep your reps high like say 10 sets of 10 on every muscle group.  In other words target your work outs to attack specific muscles with high reps.

As far as you daily diet ( food intake ) goes that depends on if you want bulk or if you want to remain at your current weight.  for bulk just eat plenty of protien rich foods like red meats, cahsews, peanuts, etc. and of course some veggies for other nutrients that you need.  If you're looking to remain slender then baked chicken, tons of veggies, soups and other such balanced meals, but stay away form red meats altogether dude.

and to answer the last line of your question yes 7 days a week will be fine even with heavy weight and high reps as long as you're getting plenty of rest after your work outs and not feeling run down.  If you feel the need for a break take a day or two off here and there and keep shoving food into your system while resting even.  Don't take two days off though and forget to get back at it.  Keep it set in your head that it's your job and it's do or die and no matter how burned out you might ever feel stick with it.  Crappy days will come and go, but sticking to it as if it was your job is very important.

    Good luck dude.

RE: Stunting growth ..... that's funny sh*t.....I guess these types of misconceptions ( online blog rumors ) are what's causing so many kids to be weak and femenized in the modern day era.....ROTFL

  5. ok at looking at your weight im guessing your probuly gonna be a speed guy so- run everyday to improve stamina and endurence.also hit a punching bag as much as you can and have a guy hit you back so you get used to getting hit.eat alot of carbs to keep your energy up and hit the gym as much as possible, working out a upperbody one day and lower body another day.try to spar at least one or two times a month with a guy around your same wieget.try to find somone who knows what they are dong to train you and or with you. good luck
