Question:

Training for college track?

Im in coming freshmen for college track and field.... i need so real training tips. When i left high school my times in the 100m dash ranged from, 11.0 to 11.4. I wanna drop that down. In the 200m my times ranged from 22.5 to 22.9. Can anybody give some high quality advice?

  2. make sure your running tequnice is solid,and do alot of short sprints alot,wear ancle waight.sprint sprint sprint

  3. please please please, do not wear ankle weights while running. it ruins you.

    i suggest asking your future coach on some advice. and to take a look at your form

  6. Well, my father is the head track coach at the University of Georgia, so I know all about track. The best thing you can really do is just be consistent in your running. Practice every day. Do your sprinting excercise. And just be patient. for an upcoming freshman your times aren't that bad, but yes they could drop down some.Just continue to practice and develop some good running skills

  9. There are speed training courses in some of the nicer gyms now.  You might want to enroll in those.  At a minimum, they would help your time out of the blocks, and they might knock your times down a few 10ths of a second.
