Training for tennis?

i want to try out for a tennis team next year and i want to do some training. other then playing tennis like everyday what are some other good thigs to help train me for the season and help me make the team. good excirsises to strengthen my arms, legs and abs would be great thanx

  1. one thing to focus on is agility and the ability to quickly explode from a resting position. this helps you get to more of your opponents shots and return them more often. I would suggest doing agility exercises like sprinting to a fixed point, touching your hand to the floor and then reversing direction etc.


  2. same thing with me. take private lessons with someone through the city you live in. they dont have to be expensive just someone thats good. go to the gym and do the treadmill!! make sure you can do all the hits well and ull make the team

  4. Running, run a lot. You can also set up cones and go back and forth between them to work on your agility. If you have access to a ball machine, using it for a good amount of time works on your strength.
