Question:

Training for volleyballl, but going on vacation...?

I have this training schedule that I have been following in order to prepare for volleyball tryouts in the fall. It has me doing stuff on the track - sprinting various distances at various times. I will be going away for 1 week and will not have access to a track. I figured that I would just run at least 2 or 3 miles and do some sprinting, but I'm afraid that I will loose what I have already accomplished in training. Will running 2 or 3 miles every other day keep me from falling behind in my training?

  1. Well, no matter what you do, nothing can keep you from falling behind in training when you get back. But hey, it's the choice you made going on vacation. So yes, doing some workouts will benefit you more than hurt you. I suggest running every day, doing situps and pushups, and try to incorporate those sprints in your training during vacation. One warning- don't eat too much junk on your vacation! It has serious side affects on training, trust me. :)
