Training ideas for waterpolo in the off season!?

i have been playing waterpolo for 1 season i found that it keeps me fit. but in the off season i need to train but i'm not sure what i should do or for how long. there is normal training on tuesdays but in the holidays. i play for my school and i am in yr 7! m school has a good reputation with waterpolo!please help me! (although right now i am sick so i will need the exercise when i am better!)

  1. Keep practising throwing and shooting/aiming. Keep up the egg beater. Swim LOTS. Do lots of long distance swimming, mixed in with some sprints. Get together with a waterpolo buddy and practise defending and jump half-turns and things like that. Practise the different ways to shot e.g. sweep shot, back hand etc...
