Training inside?

okay so im running xc this year and i really want to get better and i know to do that i need to run everyday but my mom is paranoid sometimes and wont let me run in the rain and i dont own a tredmill.. what are some exercises that will help me improve that can be done in my house??

  1. I know this sounds like a joke, but I'm serious. See if she will take you to a mall or a stadium and let you run the stairs.  If you go to a mall, try off-hours and weekend mornings.  You can get a good cardio workout on stairs.  Lunges and step ups re more strength than cardio.


  2. It;s a good idea not to run out in the rain. Drivers are not paying attention. I've had quite a few close calls.If you house is some what big enough, you can run inside from one end to the other. It's doesn't have to be sprinting to get a quality workout.

      You can do some runner exercies . . .

    -lunges, scissors, high knees, side steps, step ups on a chair, etc.

  3. If it is raining and your mom doesnt want you to run then dont. You have many differnet options, you can go to the gym, or you can just do a core workout at your house and different plyometric stuff.
