I really want to make the varsity team this year, so i need to be in shape. I need to be able to run alot, which i have never been good at. I have three months to train. i have a good spot to run at my house. about a 1/2 mile trail through the woods. how many times a day should i run this, and how long should it take me to complete it by the end of the summer?

  1. You still have alot of time to practice !

Stretch before you run, run at a pace you can keep going at

for a long time don't sprint because you'll become tired fast.

Start off slow than work yourself up try going a little faster

than your normal pace so you can get faster and faster !

Run it 2 times a day ? than run more :)

  2. id say to start out you should jog it till a few weeks pass and you increase your leg strength and endurance. you should be running 7-8 minute miles, thats what we had to do for my field hockey team, and also id sayat first runn just a mile a day and then keep gradually adding to it and by the end of the summer be able to run 3 miles + a day. then i think you will be prepared for tryouts!good luck!
