  1. yes it's a sport. I have seen events on tv in the past. anyone that's been on one for any amount of time can speak for the level of fittness you have to have to be any good at it.

  2. It would have to have a limit.

or like standars to follow if it was a sport although you do excercise

  3. I suppose it can be...acrobatics and all that stuff....sure, why not?

Word to the wise...why this is in the skiing section, I don't know...but I know of two people who seriously (and permenantly) injured themselves on trampolines while practicing skiing/snowboarding tricks.

One friend of mine was practicing inverted twists, bounced off of the trampoline and tore her ACL and MCL and did some other nasty damage to her knee tendons. It ended her freestyle days. The other guy I know wasn't so lucky. He was doing the same thing, with his snowboard on...on the trampoline. When he bounced off, his neck hit the side of the trampoline and severed his spinal cord somewhere between his C4 & C5. He now skis on a monoski with a chair. Another person must ski behind him and control the monoski because he has no use of his hands. Unlike some other disabled skiers, he can't turn the thing, stop it, or get on the lift without assistance from another skier. I've skied with him several times. I admire his determination to continue to ski, but even he admits what he was doing was stupid and wreckless, and that he is now paying a serious price.

    Have Fun....but be careful.

  4. Yes. There are competitions. If gymnastics is a sport then trampolining is.
