  1. run EVEN splits


  2. Do hill repeats, fartleks and run up to 10K, (this will give you endurance )  Run with a faster runner.

    I run with our local running club for this reason.  Plus its alot of fun to run with others.

  3. the day before eat pasta and when u feel tired you should try to pump your arm more. just imagine you are elbowing someone behind you when you are running. another think you can do is just keep running do lots of hills and do lots of lunges up lots of steep hill. and drink plenty of water

  4. My favorite workouts for 5ks are TEMPO runs of 5-7 miles. Also Mile intervals at 1 minute slower than race pace.. not sure what kind of target time you are looking at though.
