  1. My sister had one, awful in snow! Get those Balzac's snow tires Good luck!

  2. The Trans am is not your average RWD and is notoriously awful in snow.  It is one of the worst.

Balzacs are really Bridgestone Blizzak, but the best tire in the World is Nokian Hakkapeliitta, used by Ice Racers particuarly Saab/Volvo in the Northern US, and almost exclusively in the Scandinavian countries, on everything.

Second best tires are both Goodyear and Michelin ICE.

Anyhow, add weight to the rear of the car, ask a body shop to give you some safe ideas, instead of cement blocks, though 4 or 5 - 40 pound sand bags are acceptable placed strategically.  Drive safely, no hot dogging.

  3. Obviously it won't go very well.  The biggest tip I can give you is keep the car in the highest gear possible without killing the car when on a slippery road.  This will keep the RPM's down = limiting spinning.

  4. Well experenced drivers know that RWD cars are better in the snow than FWD.  Keep the petal to the metal and use the slides to your advantage..

  5. if you are getting a ws6 it will probably spin out(too much power) but for sure you will need chains

  6. The answer is: terrible.  Not only snow, any moisture on the road will cause the tires to break lose with the slightest throttle.

If you drive in snow and/or on wet pavement, and you are not an experienced driver, consider another car.

  7. the car will be a bit of a handfull in the snow, the best thing you can do is get good winter tires. bring the car to an empty parking lot some snowy night and get a feel of how to handle the car in the snow. (slide out) hope i could help!
