Trans leaking at speedo- cable

I have a 71 nova 350 turbo trans it's leaking out of speedo cable at the trans i went to all auto parts stores to see if there was a o ring that goes there no luck is there a way to fix it without o ring like permtex or so

I had the same problem with my 70 Camaro and 81 Firebird. I took the speedo gears out of both trannys (very simple, remove retaining bolt, pull out gear) and went to a local transmission shop. they were able to match up seals and orings for me. now no leaks. Good luck!
