Has it ever been done? If not, what do you recommend to somebody that wants to do it?

  1. Pontoon boats tend to be lightweight and draw very little water.

That said, a seventy or eighty foot wave would end the crossing very abruptly.

To the person who wants to do it, I would recommend taking out a large life insurance policy and naming me the beneficiary.

  2. I seem to have read somewhere that it has been done, but I woud not recommend it.  It might not be much fun.

  3. Maybe possible, but i doubt it, would take some BIG CAHONAAS. I would contact your local COAST GUARD  first and take out large insurance policy and name (STUART) as Beneficary ! Better bring your A game !!!

PS. Dont forget life Jacket and fishn pole.

  4. If Thor Heyerdahl did it in 1947 on Kon-Tiki, why it can be done now?
