Transatlantic cruise on the Norwegian Dream ???

We're doing a 15 day repositioning cruise in the Fall. We are experienced cruisers (20+) and are familiar with the type of activities scheduled for the usual day or so at sea. But what happens or what does one do, or what type of activities are scheduled for 7-8 consecutive days at sea ? I love to read, but not for 8 days straight ! Do they run week long courses or seminars ?? My fear is that the activites planned for a "captive audience" may be greater than the cost of the cruise ! So, have you "been there, done that" and how was it ?? Thanks
