Transeuropa Ferries?

I'm considering taking a car ferry to Belgium and have seen that Transeuropa Ferries operate a paggenger service from Ramsgate to Ostend. What is this company like? In comparison with the other cross channel ferry companies (P&O, Norfolkline etc) their website is very basic and their ships old.

  1. You are only on the boat for a couple of hours so what does it matter - if it's cheaper than Dover then go for it.  However, you may wish to compare with Norfolkline Ferries Dover - Ostende

  2. i have used Transeuropa ferries from Ramsgate. there are comfortable, in most of the bars, cafes, they do have a large screen tv.

i used them one September, not mainy people onboard, so there was a limited service, when it came to cafes and bars being open. the boarding and unloading was very quick. i have used then a few times. have they breakfast on board, it was good value, included in the price was as much tea / coffee you wanted

someone said about Norfolkline from Dover to Ostend, sorry this is wrong, Norfolkline operates a car ferry service from Dover to Dunkerque. but it would still be a good idea, to look into this as Dunkerque is only about 45 mins drive from Ostend
