Transfer Rumors: July 14th 2010, Fabiano says Tottenham not big enough, Ashley Cole to Madrid?

Tottenham have been long time admirers of the prolific Brazilian striker, Luis Fabiano. The Daily mirror even went as far as to say 'The Sevilla marksman has been offered to the north Londoners, taken by Redknapp from the jaws of relegation two years ago into next Champions League... But Redknapp fears the wages will prove a stumbling block for the man who lifted the Golden Ball at last year's Confederations Cup.'
However Fabiano later responded to all this speculation by saying "I have heard Tottenham Hotspur made an inquiry about me but, with all respect, that is not somewhere I am going to be able to win the Premier League or the European Cup in the next three or four years.” He then went on to add "There would be no point in me joining Tottenham. I might as well stay at Sevilla, as it's the same thing. Sevilla are actually bigger when you look at how much we have been in the European Cup, so there would be no point me moving to a smaller team." This clearly indicates that the Brazilian has no intent of joining the English team because they just aren’t big enough for him, however the way the transfers happen these days anything is possible.
Real Madrid and Spain’s number one, Iker Casillas has accidently revealed to the media that Ashley Cole, might be on his way out of Chelsea to join Real Madrid. The deal is reported to be around the region of thirty million pounds, Casillas however claims that he is confident that Ashley will be joining his at the Madrid next season.
Manchester City are looking to offload, Robinho, Bellamy, Ireland, Santa Cruz and Jo. City plan on making around eighty million pounds of the sale of these players. A series of clubs from all across Europe are preparing bids for all of these players.
City however may have finally given up on the signing of, Dzeko and Milner. City are refusing to pay the forty five million that Wolfsberg are asking for the forward. City are facing the same problems with Milner. Aston Villa are asking for thirty million for the forward but City have said that they are only going to pay a maximum of twenty four million for the player.
Fulham have rejected Arsenals initial bid for Mark Schwarzer and have asked the club to buff up their initial offer. Arsene Wenger is eager to sign Schwarzer but he isn’t too keen on paying the four million that Fulham are demanding for the player and might be tempted to look elsewhere for a replacement.
Portsmouth are all set to withdraw their offer of giving David James a player-coach job at the club. They have give James a deadline of twenty four hours to make up his mind. Fulham who are most probably looking to lose their shot stopper Schwarzer are said to be interested in singing James from Portsmouth.
