Transfer Rumors: July 19, 2010, Barca back for Fabregas, Cole to earn big at Pool
Arsene Wenger recently went to the media and said that all this nonsense about Fabregas leaving had to stop. But since he made it very clear that he did not wish to hear any more about it, the media has gone ahead and done the exact opposite.
The Sunday claims that Barcelona are readying a final bid for Cesc Fabregas estimated to be around the forty million pound mark. Arsenal have already said numerous times that firstly they are not willing to hear any offers for the player and even if any offer is made, fifty million pounds is the minimum offer that they would even consider giving a second glance to. However it is safe to say that there is much more left in this story.
Joe Cole is apparently on his way to Anfield. After months of speculation the apparent new club of choice for Joe Cole is Liverpool. The papers are claiming that the player is going to be making around ninety thousand a week at the club. Roy Hodgson had previously stated his interest in signing the player, but most people thought that they were just rumors. However with the way things are heading it might not be long before we see Joe Cole unveiled at Anfield.
With Chelsea asking for a ridiculous thirty million pounds for Ashley Cole, Real Madrid have turned their attention elsewhere. That elsewhere is towards Manchester United’s left back, Patrice Evra. The News, says that the deal is more than just complete because Evra has just put his house in Manchester up for sale. Another Manchester United player who could be on his way out of United to Madrid is Nemanja Vidic. Vidic has apparently also expressed his desire to leave the club and head to Real Madrid. However it wouldn’t be shocking if both the players are spotted playing for Manchester United next season.
Arsene Wenger is still hot on the trail of another centre back. The man that he has currently set his sights on is Everton’s Phil Jagielka. He is apparently willing to pay as much as sixteen million pounds for the defender. Apparently Arsenal had previously bid around fourteen million pounds for the player but had the offer turned down by the Everton officials.
Rafa Benitez, is apparently looking to bring in new faces to the Italian reigning champions, in the shape of Steven Pienaar and Dirk Kuyt. Pienaar had previously been linked with several teams but speculation had died down, however Benitez thinks the South African would be the perfect addition to the squad. Dirk Kuyt is another player on Benitez’s list, the Dutch international played under the manager at Liverpool and was strongly disappointed to see the manager leave, a move to Inter might quite possibly happen in the coming few days.
Mario Balotelli is currently back on Manchester City’s mind who have made a twenty million pound offer for the player. Inter had said they did not wish to see the player but anything could happen in the coming few weeks.
