Transfer Rumors: July 24th, 2010, Chelsea to start spending, Carvalho on his way out
Chelsea are apparently finally ready to start spending some big money in the transfer market. According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have dusted their chequebooks and are going to start their spending spree by splashing out a ridiculous amount of cash for some decent Benfica players.
Chelsea have apparently won the race to sign Ramires. The Brazilian wonder midfielder is set to cost the Stamford Bridge staff a good twenty million pounds which they are willing to spend. They have beaten the likes of Manchester City at being prime candidates to sign the Midfielder and will be looking to make him a  Chelsea player sooner rather than later.
Chelsea will not just be satisfied by signing Ramires however, they are looking to sign David Luiz as well. Luiz plays as centre back and is currently being valued at twenty seven million pounds. Chelsea are still   more then keen on signing the player because of his outstanding record and performance record.
One of the reasons for Chelsea wanting to sign another center back sooner rather than later could be the fact that Ricardo Carvalho has said that he is more than certain on leaving the Blues and joining Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid. He is reported to have told Madrid Daily AS, "If there was a possibility to sign with Real Madrid, I would go there right now swimming or running.
"It would be a dream to be able to play for Madrid, which I consider to be the best club in the world, and follow the orders of the best coach in the history of football."
"With Mourinho I experienced two marvellous stages at Porto and Chelsea. To have the opportunity to win another Champions League with him at Real Madrid would be tremendous."
Carvalho has been one of the best defenders at the club and has established himself as a force to be reckoned with over the course of his Chelsea career. It would be sad for the numerous Chelsea fans if he does happen to leave them before the end of the transfer window.
Most Manchester City fans will be more than delighted to hear that Wayne Bridge is looking more that likely to not be at the Eastlands this coming season. Alexandar Kolarov has almost completed his move to City hence allowing them to part way with Bridge.
There is some bad news for City fans however. Edin Dzeko who has been a long term target for the club is reportedly not for sale under any price, according to the Wolfsberg officials. On the other hand the other City target, Mario Balotelli, according to The Daily Mirror is going to be making his way to Chelsea instead.
The paper claims that Chelsea are looking to re enforce their attack and have realized that Torres might not be the right solution and so that is why they have turned their heads to Inter Milan and are looking to lure Balotelli to the club.
