Transfer Rumors: July 3, 2010, Madrid Make Shock Bid For Van Persie, City sign Toure
Real Madrid’s newly appointed manager, Jose Mourinho, is looking to test Arsenal’s resolve even further, by launching a bid estimated to be around thirty five million pounds for Dutch striker, Robin Van Persie. The Gunners are in no real need for the money they would generate from this transfer. But such a good deal for the injury prone striker may be a little too tempting to give up.
West Ham have launched a newer improved bid for Brazilian wonder kid, Neymar. They have already had a twelve million pound bid rejected by Santos. The Hammers have however devised a new deal which would see the eighteen year old head to West Ham on a yearlong deal but then eventually move on to Chelsea in the 2011-2012 season.
Manchester City have secured their third signing this summer after confirming that Yaya Toure has officially completed his transfer to the Eastland’s from Barcelona. The deal is believed to be somewhere in the region of twenty seven million pounds. Toure will now join his elder brother Kolo at the club.
City have already previously secured the signings of Jermoe Boateng and David Silva from, Hamburg and Valencia. Manchester City have already spent around sixty million pounds so far, but they don’t seem like stopping any time soon.
Manchester United are hoping to sign, Karim Benzema this summer. The player has gone down the pecking order at Bernebau and is expected to be allowed to leave the club for the right price. Arsenal on the other hand are looking to end their keeper worries by signing the highly rated, Stephane Ruffier from French side, Monaco.
Edzin Dzeko has pleaded with Wolfsburg boss, Steve McClaren to let him join Manchester City in the summer transfer window so that he may further develop at the Eastlands. While Liverpool are currently in a head to head race to sing the eight million pound Turkish winger, Arda Turan. Turan currently plays for Turkish side, Galatasaray. Tottenham have also emerged as shocking candidates to sign, Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Barcelona. Tottenham are expected to start their bidding price around the region of twenty five million pounds.
Yossi Benayoun has completed his switch to the Stamford Bridge. The Israeli international, is said to have joined Chelsea on a deal estimated to be around six million pounds and is being paid around fifty five thousand pounds a week. The thirty year old is a versatile midfielder who would give, Carlo Ancelotti more options when selecting his lineup this coming season.
Clint Dempsey’s manager has revealed that the player is currently looking into the numerous options that he has from various Europeans clubs. He also hinted that the United States international may follow his former manger, Roy Hodgson all the way to Anfield. The other potential European clubs that are interested in the player are, Juventus, Bordeaux and Beyer Leverkusen.
Portsmouth have asked Lazio to increase their initial bid for, Kevin-PrinceBoateng and Nadir Belhadj. Portsmouth are in dire need of funds at the moment, which is why they are looking to sell their key players. Lazio are expected to re launch their bid later next week, which would most probably see this deal go through.
