Transfer Rumors: July 8, 2010 United want Sneijder, Barcelona to give up on Pool players
Manchester United are reported to have made Inter Milan an offer of twenty nine million pounds for midfielder Wesley Sneijder. Sneijder has had an outstanding season with Inter and is currently doing brilliantly with the Dutch national side, it would definitely take more than twenty nine million for Inter to part ways with their talismanic midfielder. United have also shown interest in signing Mario Balotelli from Inter but, Sneijder remains to be their primary target.
New Liverpool boss, Roy Hodgson is looking to sign Wigan side back, Maynor Figueroa. However he won’t be able to go through with the deal if he isn’t able to get rid of Emiliano Insua. Fiorentina are currently the only team who are willing to meet the asking price for Insua, so a potential transfer could happen sooner rather than later.
Barcelona have given up hopes of signing, Torres and Mascherano from Liverpool. The club is currently facing some financial problems which led to them being unable to pay their players their wages for the last month. They however managed to sell Dmitro Chygrynskiy to Shakhtar Donetsk to try and compensate for some of these financial problems.
Torres and Mascherano could still be on their way out of Anfield, considering there are numerous other clubs who are willing to sign those players to add to their squad. Staying on that topic new Inter Milan boss and former Liverpool manager, Rafa Benitez is looking to lure Mascherano to the San Siro.
Arsenal are currently in talks with Shaun Wright Philips. Arsenal are reported to want to sign the winger for a price of around six million pounds. Considering Arsenal are in abundance of wingers at the moment, this deal looks more than likely to break down before it progresses even further.
Arsenal have successfully signed Laurent Koscienly, however there may not be much good news in the Arsenal defense. Juventus have apparently shortlisted Gael Clichy to be one of the prime targets for the club. Arsenal could potentially be looking into the matter even further if Juventus bring forward a deal too good to resist, considering Kieran Gibbs has now regained full fitness.
Real Madrid are currently still waiting on Liverpool’s response to the bid that they have placed for skipper Steven Gerrard. Gerrard who has had yet another disappointing season at Liverpool has refused to guarantee his commitment to the club so far. Liverpool may be tempted to part ways with their captain considering his best years are now behind him and they probably will never get a better offer than the one Madrid are willing to make.
Luis Fabiano’s agent has revealed that there have been no bids for the striker. Fabiano had a brilliant run with Brazil during the World Cup and United and Milan were reported to have been interested in signing the player. However all of those speculations have now been put to rest by the strikers agent.
