Transfer Rumors: June 25, 2010 Henry on board to join New York Red Bulls, Chamakh wants Gourcuff at Arsenal
Thierry Henry has rejected a possibility of a return to the Premier League with West Ham and has gone on to pen a two year deal with MLS side ‘New York Red Bulls’. Barcelona are willing to let the prolific striker leave, even though he still has a year left on his current contract.
‘Aston Villa’ manager, Martin O’Neil is looking to replace the ‘Manchester City’ bound James Milner with ‘Celtics’ Aiden McFeady.
‘Toffees’ in charge David Moyes is keen on capturing ‘Manchester City’ midfielder Stephen Ireland for a fee assumed to be around the range of eight million pounds. The deal is as good as done for the unsettled midfielder, who has had a poor season at the ‘Eastlands’.
’Manchester City’, are more than likely to sell the player, with James Milner and Yaya Toure all set to join the club.
‘Valencia’ have asked for Rouque Santa Cruz as part of the deal which would see Spanish winger David Silva head the other way to the Eastland’s.
Robinho has also expressed his desire to no longer play for ‘Manchester City’. His representatives held talks with the ‘City’ management on Thursday, in which they disclosed the Brazilian was determined to leave this summer.
‘Lazio’ are planning to raid ‘Portsmouth’ for duo, Boateng and Belhadj, for a fee of around eight million pounds. ‘Portsmouth’ have offered first choice goalkeepers, David James an option to be a player-coach at the club in hopes of retaining the player after the transfer window.
‘Hull’s’ record breaking signing of Jimmy Bullard is going to cost the club another two million pounds. The club is willing to pay the extra fee as part of a golden handshake, in order to avoid paying the forty five thousand a week wage for the player.
‘Arsenal’ captain, Cesc Fabregas has reignited his desire to join Spanish giants ‘Barcelona’. ‘Barcelona’ are hoping to use the money they make from the sale of Yaya Toure to be used in the funds to lure Cesc to the ‘Nou Camp’. Chamakh has gone ahead and suggested that Gourcuff would be a suitable addition or replacement at Arsenal, depending on how the deal shapes up.
William Gallas has turned down a one million six hundred and forty thousand a year move to Juventus. This is how ever just the first of many offers that ‘Arsenal’ are expecting to receive for the center back. Arsenal have also turned down a four million pound offer for holding midfielder, Alexander Song. Why the Turkish club would bid for such a pivotal player in Arsenals midfield is unthinkable.
‘Liverpool’ are apparently still in the transfer market and signing players without a manager. According to the news papers, Liverpool have made a shock move for ‘Wolves’ shot stopper, Wayne Hennessey for around two million pounds, but have had their offer rejected by the club. It is still quite unclear as to who is making these transfers at Liverpool, since their former in charge; Rafa Benitez has left the club and is now managing Italian ‘Serie A’ winners ‘Inter Milan’. Liverpool are currently without a manager but hope to sign ‘Fulham’ manager Roy Hudgson, before the week comes to a close.
