Transfer Rumors: June 30th 2010, Hodgson to reject England, Blackburn want Raul.
Roy Hodgson, in on his way to rejecting the option of ever being England’s manager. After England’s unsuccessful campaign many believe that Capello is on his way to being sacked. The only candidate, who was competent enough to replace him as England boss, was Hodgson. Hodgson however has opted against this and is believed to be moving from Fulham, to Liverpool. Liverpool are currently still without a manager every since they parted ways with their former manger, Rafa Benitez.
Wigan, have confirmed the signing of Argentinean striker, Mauro Boselli from, Estudiantes. The twenty five year old will join the Latics on a four year deal for a fee rumored to be around, six million pounds.
Blackburn, are looking to turn to Real Madrid veteran striker, Raul. The thirty two year old, was told he is not a part of the future for Madrid. His former team mate Michel Salgado, is currently employed at Blackburn and could convince Raul to join him at Ewood Park.
Sol Campbell was spotted in Glasgow on Tuesday. The veteran defender is currently a free agent, and is looking into his future. He has offers from Celtic and Hull but Arsene Wenger has expressed his desire to retain the center back, who played the second half of last season under him at Arsenal. That was Campbell’s second spell with the Gunners, he previously spent five years at Arsenal and was part of the title winning ‘invincible’ squad.
Arsenal are on the verge of signing Koscielny. Arsenal have agreed terms with Lorient for defender Laurent Koscienly. The center back had been under Arsenals radar all summer, but it looks like they are finally going to seal the deal on the transfer. Koscienly is rumored to cost Arsenal around ten million pounds, but will be greatly welcomed by the club that is currently on a shortage of quality center backs.
Joe Cole, will take two to three weeks to reveal what club he has decided to join. The former Chelsea player, has become a free agent since his contract was not renewed by Chelsea. Cole said that the reasons for this were political. Several sides are rumored to be interested in the forward, such as, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United. Cole was initially only interested in moving to a team situated in London but when he was asked if he was open to joining Ac Milan, he said all negotiations were possible.
Tottenham have denied that they had ever bid for Palermo duo, Kjaer and Cavani. A spokesperson from Tottenham said, that Palermo’s claims that a bid was launched for these players, is inaccurate. Kjaer and Cavani’s representatives, are reported to have said that the players were currently happy at their current club, however if an interest was to develop from another team, their clients would be willing to look into the transfer.
Nice striker, Loic Remy has revealed his desire to move to London to play in the Premier League. His preferable destination of choice is currently Arsenal. He has told French media that he loves the way the game is played in England, particularly at Arsenal.
