Ashley Simon Young is an English professional football player from Stevenage, England. He is currently giving his valuable services to the Premier League club, Aston Villa and the England National Football team. The much talented footballer is deployed as
a winger or second striker on the field.
Ashley Young started his professional football career with the Watford youth academy in 2000. In 2002, he became a part of the club’s senior team. The brilliant soccer player made his team debut in 2003, under the coach, Ray Lewington. He became a regular
in the 2004–05 season and was an integral part of the promotion-winning squad in 2005–06.
During the winter transfer window of 2007, several clubs tried to approach the English winger. Young, however, chose to sign a contract with Aston Villa and on 18 January 2007, he was transferred to Villa Park for a transfer fee worth £8 million. Since then,
he has been a part of the first team of the Lions.
