and Manchester City.
Paris Saint-Germain had been linked with a move for the highly-rated playmaker but the capital club has been tight lipped about its dealing with the sale of Pastore.
However, it now seems that Les Parisiens have made their first major signing of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 Investment Authority era. According to Maurizio Zamparini, PSG will pay Palermo 43 million Euros for Pastore.
While talking to Radio Radio, Zamparini said, “The negotiations ended last night around midnight. The sale of Pastore to Paris Saint-Germain around 43 million Euros is almost official.”
According to Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport, Paris Saint-Germain will pay Palermo 43 million Euros in three instalments. And according to Les Parisien, Pastore will arrive at Paris either on Monday or Tuesday.
The youngster will then sign a contract with the capital club and will then be presented to the French press before he will return home for vacations.
Though the youngster has not arrived at the club yet, it seems that Paris Saint-Germain are about to set a new record in Ligue 1 as Javier Pastore will become the biggest transfer in the history of French championship ahead of Nicolas Anelka.
In 2000, Paris Saint-Germain paid La Liga giants Real Madrid 33.5 million Euros for the services of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicolas-Anelka-c27786. The French striker played for the capital club from 2000 till 2002 and turned out to be far from a successful signing
as he scored just 10 goals in 39 league games for Les Parisiens.
The arrival of the Qatari Investment Authority as the new owners of Paris Saint-Germain has already seen the club make eight signings this summer. Furthermore, it seems that the imminent arrival of Pastore at the Parisian club could see http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 stop his
