Transfer recap: Adebayor to Real Madrid, Babel to Hoffenheim
Manchester City’s Emmanuel Adebayor has completed his loan move to Spanish giants Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Liverpool’s out-of-favour midfielder Ryan Babel has also finalized his transfer to Bundesliga club Hoffenheim.
Adebayor had been seeking a way out from his Manchester City nightmare for quite some time now. The striker has had limited playing opportunities for the new-look Sky Blues this season, with manager Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937
in his place. The recent arrival of Edin Dzeko at the Eastlands meant even less playing time for Adebayor, further increasing his desperation to leave the Manchester club.
Real Madrid have rescued the Togolese striker from purgatory, acquiring Adebayor on loan until the end of the current season.  Real manager Jose Mourinho was seeking a striker to fill in for the injured Gonzalo Higuain, and he has found the answer to his
problems in Emmanuel Adebayor. Mourinho has first-hand experience of the striker’s ability, having seen him in action during his managerial stint at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
A statement from the Spanish giants confirmed the move: “Real Madrid CF and Manchester City FC have reached a deal that will see http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emmanuel-Adebayor-c12526 play on loan for the former club. The player will remain at Real Madrid until the end of the current season,
at which point the club hold a unilateral option to purchase the player.”
Meanwhile, Hoffenheim have also finalized the deal to bring Liverpool’s Ryan Babel to the Bundesliga. The German club confirmed that they have signed Ryan Babel on a two-and-a-half year contract. A statement from the club read: “The 24-year-old striker signed
on Tuesday a contract for two and a half years until June 30 2013 (plus an option for another year).”

Kenny Dalglish’s arrival at the helm has not changed things for Babel, who still found himself warming the bench on most occasions.
Let’s see whether Ryan Babel can make more of an impact at Hoffenheim than he did with Liverpool. We will find out when the Dutchman makes his debut for the German club in a few days time.
