Transfer rumors: 2nd July 2010, Real Still In for Stevie G, Yossi first out for Pool
Real Madrid have started to test Liverpool’s resolve by officially launching a twenty million pound bid for the Liverpool captain. There is no current reaction to this bid at the Merseyside but the deal will soon be looked into by the newly appointed Liverpool manager, Roy Hodgson. A bid for over twenty million pounds for a thirty year old is a deal that might just be too good to resist.
Yossi Benayoun, is the first Liverpool player on his way out off the club. Benayoun is reported to have agreed to a move to Stamford Bridge. The deal is estimated to be around the region of six million pounds. He is rumored to sign a four year deal worth around fifty five thousand a week. The deal could be finalized in the next two or three days.
One player who is not leaving Liverpool, at least for now is, Albert Riera. There was a five million pound bid for the player from Juventus that was rejected by Liverpool. He is still expected to leave the club, but no one is certain as to when that will happen.
Cesc Fabregas has hinted that he may be staying at Arsenal this coming season. The Gunners captain has recently been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates to the Camp Nou. Fabregas scored fifteen goals this past season. The new Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has confirmed that his top priorities include the signature of Cesc Fabregas. But Fabregas has gone on record to say, that he hasn’t promised that he’s leaving Arsenal, but is currently more focused on the World Cup.
Manchester United manager, Alex Ferguson has shown great interest in the rising German super star, Mesut Ozil. Ozil who has been is spectacular form throughout the German campaign this World Cup has caught the eyes of the Old Trafford in charge. Ozil will be a great addition to the United midfield with players like Giggs and Scholes, soon to be on their way out.
Another player that is likely to be on his way to Manchester United is Chile wonder player, Alexis Sanchez. Sanchez, who has impressed throughout Chiles, campaign of the FIFA World Cup 2010.
Chelsea are on course to launch a bid for German forward, Lukas Podolski. Podolski, who is currently playing for German club team, Koln, looks like he could be on his way to Stamford Bridge, this summer. Podolski is currently a part of Germany’s team that is set to face Argentina in the quarter final stage of the tournament. Podolski has already scored twice in the World Cup so far.
Thierry Henry is currently in talks with Arsene Wenger for a potential mover back to the Emirates. Whether this move will involve him playing for the squad or helping with management is quite unclear at the moment. Thierry Henry had always expressed his desire to one day return to Arsenal, even if it was to be a water boy. It will be interesting to see how this deal shapes up in the coming weeks.
