Transfer rumors: June 28, 2010 - Liverpool deny Benitez
Benitez has had his eye’s set on Mascherano who he managed at Liverpool. The chief’s at Liverpool are preparing to deny Benitez, by keeping this transfer from going through, and instead are going to sell the Argentinean captain to Spanish champions, Barcelona.
Dirk Kuyt has revealed he is now uncertain about his future at Liverpool. He is reported to have said that even though he is satisfied with the club and their work, there is still a room of doubt over the future as things happen. This is clear indication of the fact that he may be pondering a move away from Anfield. But that is probably not his top priority at the moment since his national side Holland, have made it to the knock out stages of the World Cup, which is where his primary focus is at the moment.
Manchester City are all but certain to let Nigel de Jong leave this summer, if Yaya Toure signs for them. The Dutch player signed for city last season in a deal worth approximately sixteen million pounds.
Fulham are closing in to capturing the signature of West Ham and England keeper, Robert Green. This is because Arsenal are currently close to signing the current first choice keeper at the club Mark Schwarzer. Despite David James also being linked to the club, Fulham are more focused on signing Green.
Eduardo is all but set to leave Arsenal. The Croatian striker never really managed to recover from his horrifying injury in 2008 and has been told by Arsene Wenger that he is no long a part of his plans for the first team next season.

Joe Cole after being knocked out of the World Cup with England, has turned back to his club career and by doing so he is looking to have his future sorted as soon as possible. He also said that the reason behind him leaving Chelsea were not financial but instead political. He has agreed to shed light on that situation on a later date, but for now is focused on finding the club that is best suited for him and his style of play. He has been heavily linked with Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham so where he ends up going is still a mystery to everyone.
