  1. It depends.  If there is an "and" between the names, "John Doe and Mary Doe", both must sign.  If it's "or" it only takes one signature.


  2. Not enough info as to the reason you may be doing this. If her name is on the title and you sign it for her, she could sue you.

I agree with tom, but not all states have the "and/or" between the names on the title.  If the title has two names listed, you WILL need her signature to transfer the vehicle.  If the vehicle was awarded to you in the divorce decree, take a certified copy of the degree to the tax office and have her name removed from the title.
