Transfer to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bas-Dost-c7339’s agent – Eredivisie news
Although Bas Dost joined http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Heerenveen-c40463 at the start of 2010/11 season, it seems like the 22-year-old could be on his way out of the Friesland outfit by the end of ongoing summer transfer market with Sporting Lisbon taking keen interest in taking his signature.
The promising youngster has performed impressively in the recently concluded season, scoring 13 goals in 32 appearances. In spite of Heerenveen finishing 12th
in the league table, the striker contributed with good performances throughout the season and helped his side to finish away from the relegation zone.
His good performances tempted Eredivisie giants, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AFC-Ajax-c38228 Amsterdam, to lure the striker away from Abe Lenstra Stadion in the winter transfer market earlier this year. The promising youngster also underwent medical examination, but the deal collapsed with
the Amsterdammers not meeting the Friesland outfit’s asking price for the striker. Nonetheless, the striker’s attention was not diverted and he continued to perform impressively on the field.
Sporting recently signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ricky-van-Wolfswinkel-c31131 from the Friesland outfit and they are still in search of further reinforcements to their attacking third. Earlier, the Portuguese Liga outfit was linked with FC Groningen’s Tim Matavz, but the Green and White
were unable to meet the Eredivisie outfit’s asking price for their prized asset and the deal fell through.
The Lions have now reportedly set their sights on the tall striker and believe that the 22-year-old would surely prove to be an asset in the future. Henk Nienhuis, Dost’s agent, admitted that his client could move to play in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984, but revealed that a
deal has not been completed yet.
“It would perhaps be, but that is still a long way”, Nienhuis was quoted as saying to the media.
The Lions finished third in the league table, but with their summer spending spree, they are looking to become a force to be reckoned with in Portuguese Liga in the coming years.
