Question:

Transfering Eyeshadow to Palettes?

So I was wondering if you can transfer eyeshadow, not loose power or pigments, to palettes. What I mean is, I have little single eye shadows and I wanted to know if I could transfer them all into an empty pallet I have. That way, instead of having so many little containers in my bag, I'd have them all in a palette, making them easier to find.

Is this possible; if so how? I know for pigments/loose eyeshadow you can mix alcohol with it but I don't know if I'd need to do that for this. Thanks!

  1. it'll take a lot of time if the pans are different shapes and sizes

    what you will need:

    bobby pin

    empty makeup pans

    makeup pallete

    alcohol

    mixing surface

use your bobby pin to powder down the eyeshadow

pour it into an empty makeup pan

add some drops of alcohol and mix

let it set for a while

use a quarter wrapped in a napkin to press the powder down

    put it into your palette

there are lots of videos on youtube on how to do this

    just search depotting eyeshadow

  2. you just take the pan of eyeshadow out of it's container and slip it into the palette. most people i know use a knife  to get it out, but be careful.
