Ok I have a Sony CCD-TRV108 Hi8 camcorder and i have an HP Media Center PC which has video inputs on the front of the PC. I have the cable that came with the camcorder, one yellow composite connection and one black cable for the audio. I have the cables plugged into the PC. I also have AVS Capture Wizard but it wll not capture any video? What is the trick, what steps do i need to do to get this video on my PC. My PC is plenty powerful for the converting so I am not worried about that. Is there another software program that works better?

    Dazzle

  2. I have that camcorder but a older version. I am doing the same thing you are.

So I have been doing some research and found this http://www.compusa.com/applications/Sear...    I have not tried it yet but based off the reviews it looks good.

I would suggest you use an S video cable instead of the yellow composite. I heard you get bettter quality with it. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?...     First make sure your camcorder has an s video slot.

    hope this helps
