Transfering VHS to DVD ?

If i were to transfer my VHS to a DVD would my VHS still have the contents on it after i transfer.

YES. You don't erase anything form the tape during the transfer process. The tape will still be intact (provided the VCR doesn't eat it or you hit 'record' by accident and erase it. Break out the small plastic tab on the spine of the VHS tape to prevent accidental erasure. You'll see it as it looks like a  small cut out with three sides of a box cut out. Insert something small like a butter knife or fingernail and bend out out and break it off. That will protect your tape.
