Question:

Transfering movies to pc?

Hello,

I bought Panasonic PV-GS39 camcorder about 1.5 years ago. I recently noticed that transfer of my movies to a PC with firewire does not work and took it to the camera shop for repairs. The repair man said that he cannot fix it since the connection to the circuit board is cracked and it is too small for him to attach it. He said it is not worth to buy the whole part.

Is there a way I can transfer the movies to my pc in any other way?

Thanks for any help/suggestions,

Mark

  1. Do you know anyone who has a camcorder that uses your type of media? Are you planning to get a new camera that uses your media?

If the firewire won't work, you might be able to take the tapes to a camera store to have them converted, not cheap.

  2. most likely, you need a dv cable to hook up to your camera and computer.

once you have the cable it should only take a few minutes to upload your videos and you can even transfer onto a DVD

    hope it helps

  3. take out the card if no card most pc repair shops will be able to extract the mem
