Question:

Transfering to Sorbonne?

I have been taking French for the past five years and I graduated from high school this past year. I will be attending Michigan State University in the fall, which is on the top 100 universities in the country. Ultimately, I would like to leave the United States and move to France.

My dream is to attend the Sorbonne. I have already visited France for two weeks about a month ago and plan to spend next summer there as well.

In order to become fluent at French, I plan on studying for a semester abroad my sophomore year in college.

I would like to transfer to the Sorbonne my junior year. Does anyone have information on this or know if it is possible? I will be fluent in French, so that will not be an issue. Will I be able to transfer if I have a 4.0?

Merci beaucoup!

  1. This should be possible. As you wish to transfer for a semester you should get your procedure done via Campus France. Write an email with all your queries to washington@campusfrance.org . In fact, send the same queries stated here to this email. The counselllor there is in the best position to advise you.
