Transferring Moderator Role?

How does one go about assuming the role as a moderator of an existing group when the current moderator wishes to bow out of that role?

  2. The current moderator has to appoint you as a moderator.  The mod should edit your membership and look foruse the change to moderator button on your edit membership page.  After that, he'll need to select the priveleges for you as a moderator.  If he intends to leave as a moderator, he should give you all the priveleges.  Once he's done, he can edit his own membership and remove himself as a moderator and/or group member.
