When I first got my iPod, my entire iTunes program was installed onto my laptop. My laptop recently crashed. I have over 2,000 songs on the iPod and I am curious as to how I can transfer those songs onto another computer without losing them.

  1. itune blocks this function since itune is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to ipod. you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There're couple of tools for transferring the files between ipod and computer (for backup)depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of below review site, hope it useful.

  2. I downloaded a software called 'Aniosoft iPod To Computer' to help me, It is a ipod backup tool to help you easily copy / transfer your songs , videos from your iPod to PC. You can find it at http://www.dvdipodsoft.com/ipod-to-compu...

It's fast, easy and very wonderful. I think it is a good choose.Hope it helps.

  3. you will need to have a 3rd party tool to help you copy songs in your ipod to computer as itunes blocks the ipod-to-computer transfer, here is a review of top 5 ipod  copying softwares(windows/mac): http://www.ipodtocomputer.net
