I have recorded a song in .WAV format and would like to know if I can transfer that .WAV file to my phone as it's ringtone? Are there any utilities out there that can do this?

  1. Most cell phones use MP3 files for ringtones so this should be easy.

    1. Search the web for a program called Audacity.

    2. Install it, run it, and click the record button.

    3. Double click the WAV file to play it and Audacity will record it.

    4. When the song finishes playing, save the file in MP3 format.

    5. Transfer it to your cell phone.  Be sure to put it where the other ringtones are located on your phone so you can find it.
