Transferring i tunes

i am trying to transfer my itunes library from one laptop to another with a usb flash drive but am stuck as every time i try to export it it just transfers as a text document any ideas please.

  1. You need to copy the music...the mp3 files.

    don't use "export" functionality. Use windows explorer (my computer), find your music files.

    right click the top level folder and "Send to -> removable device <letter>"

    Take device to other system, copy the folder you moved to the flash drive, and paste it into My computer on the new system.

    The go into iTunes on the new system, and File -> Add folder to Library -> choose your folder. Done.


  2. If you have an ipod you can trasfer all of the files from that into i tunes by using this simple programme.

  3. put your usb stick in and then open it up in computer and open i tunes then drag your songs and every think else u want to the folder in computer. When you've done that go on your other laptop and open the usb folder in computer and open up itunes and then drag the music folder into the itunes music folder or another folder in itunes. And that should fix your itunes problem.
