Hi there! My name is Brigitte and I don't have a problem, i just want to know if my way of transferring info from one hard drive to another will work. I have an old HP pavillion that still woks pretty good. It is running Windows XP and I like it. All I want is to add a larger hard drive for my dvd files. I remember that with the old floppy disks if you wanted to copy one to another it was a pretty straightforward drag and drop. I have an expansion bay for an additional hard drive, EIDE connection. Once I install the new hard drive, I'll have two--the small one and the larger one. Can I drag and drop the entire contents of the old hard drive onto the new one without a problem? Also, how do I get the computer to boot up from the new drive once the data is transferred?
