Question:

Transferring mp3s from one chip to another chip?

I have no idea what my family is talking about, but they want me to figure out a solution to their problem. Apparently they have some kind of phones that play mp3s via a chip. You download music from the internet onto that chip, and use the chip on the phone. (Or so how it was explained to me.) They have no problem with getting music on the phone. The question is, they want to know if they can transfer that music from one chip, to another chip for a different phone. (Assuming they are of the same make.) (Because one of them wants the same music for hers and has no internet access.) I want to know if this is possible, and if so, how?

  1. Usually these memory cards can be put into a computer if the computer is new enough. The cards the majority of the phones use are called MicroSD cards. Look for the slot in your computer that says SD Multimedia Card and put it in there open the folder with the music files on your computer drag and drop all the files onto your desktop or another folder and then unplug the chip once your finished.

After that plug your new chip in your phone and then take it out (you may need to downlaod a song or a picture first), put it into your computer and open the folder for it again, and then find the folder in which you put your music files in and drag and drop them all in there.

That should be it. The only reason I say to put the new chip into the phone is because sometimes the phone needs to create directories for the chip like "Music" or something,

  2. try bringung the phones to your service provider and ask them if they can put the music from one chip to another chip

  3. copy the music from the memory card to the computer then connect the other card and copy and paste.
