Question:

Transferring music on iPod to another computer?

The computer with all my iTunes music completely frayed. Now, all I have is the music on my iPod... There is no way for me to burn all the music I had on the other computer because it is gone. Is there any other way for me to transfer that music from my iPod onto my Macbook Laptop using my iPod. I don't wanna lose all my music! I have about 1,500 songs...

Thanks a lot :)

  1. you will need to have a 3rd party tool to help you copy songs in your ipod to computer as itunes blocks the ipod-to-computer transfer, here is a review of top 5 ipod  copying softwares(windows/mac): http://www.ipodtocomputer.net

  2. itune blocks this function since itune is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to ipod. you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There're couple of tools for transferring the files between ipod and computer (for backup)depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of below review site, hope it useful.

  3. no need to do that

just plug your ipod into your macbook

and in itunes click file and transfer purchases

this will move all the songs to your macbook

now in the menu bar click on store and then authorize computer

then enter your apple ID and password

this will let you play the songs on your new mac that you bought from itunes on your other computer

    that will do it

  4. Try these

  5. You can try this software to backup songs, videos, photos in iPod to PC, copy iPod songs, videos, photos to new ipod, computer or notebook.

  6. Just do the opposite of what you did to put music onto it: connect the ipod to the laptop using the iPod usb cable. Then go to My Computer > iPod > then highlight and copy the files there to a folder on your laptop.

  7. take both the laptop and the ipod to an apple store, they can do it for you.
