  1. Yes, you will pick up exactly where you left off in your old school.

In order to transfer, go you your Guidance Counselor and ask if you can get Transfer / School Choice papers.  After filling out these papers, getting parental consent, you will need to submit them.  It may take around 20 days for them to get back to you about the switch.

As for asking your mom, if you have a good connection with her, just go up to her and ask her right out.  "Hey mom, I've been thinking, and was wondering if you would let me switch schools?"

If she asks why, then give her a list of pros, and cons.

    Pro:

    Other school has nicer people

    Con:

No one likes me in this school.

    Pro:

I would be happier at the other school.

    Con:

This school is not enjoyable and I don't like it.

    Pro:

I will study harder, and engage in more activities at the other school.

    Con:

I am finding it hard to concentrate in this school, and am not doing my best.

These are of course examples, and you will need to think of your own.  Of course, don't say Pro and Con, just say it.

    You mom will understand.

    Good luck!
